PSEEG May meeting
Thursday 18th May 2017
Pembrokeshire South East Energy Group (PSEEG) was officially formed in July 2008. It came about because of the support of PLANED and their ongoing interest has been valued ever since. The Group have held regular public meetings, written articles for the Tenby Observer, given talks on a range of topics (the latest being ‘Our Changing Climate’), attended many environmental events, arranged educational visits and taken part in both UK and Welsh Governments’ consultations.
In the Autumn of 2009 the Group was approached by PLANED to take part in a community based project to generate electricity. Later on Ben Ferguson-Walker became involved as one of the Project Managers of the Ynnni’r Fro Welsh Government programme. In early 2016 the planning application for a wind turbine at Prout’s Park Farm East Williamston was passed.
At the May meeting of PSEEG Ben Ferguson-Walker will be giving a talk completing the circle of PSEEG’s involvement in the wind turbine project. He will also tell us about the other Community Energy projects across Pembrokeshire and their innovative ways of generating electricity by harnessing the energy from the sun, wind and water. It should be an interesting and encouraging evening.
The meeting starts at 7.00pm in the Regency Hall, Saundersfoot and is open to members, friends and visitors. The talk by Ben will be followed by a short Special General Meeting after which there will be tea, coffee and biscuits and a chance to chat.
Important message for Members: There will be a very short Special General Meeting after Ben's talk. Details can be found by downloading the PDF pseeg special meeting 180517
